Photography, in its purest form, is an argument against disappearing. I photograph the things that make up a life. The quiet moments, the familiar places, the people we love in the middle of simply being themselves. Not everything we photograph will seem important at the time. Perhaps that's the point. We don't always know what we will miss until it is gone, or what we will spend years trying to remember. These photographs are my attempt to pay attention. To leave a record of what it felt like to be here, in this life, during this small stretch of time that was ours. Before it changes. Before it passes. Before we forget.
